Dinesh Sarraf comes with more than four decades of industry experience in the private and public sectors. As the Chairman/CEO of leading public sector oil and gas companies, he has significantly contributed to the deregulation of the Indian oil and gas sector. Also, he has led acquisition transactions inter-alia in Syria, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Egypt, Myanmar, and Mozambique, along with the formulation of several mega projects and their implementation.
Mr. Saraf has also led ONGC in its decision to acquire Hindustan Petroleum from the Government. As the oil and gas regulator, he spearheaded the creation of oil and gas infrastructure in the country, including city gas distribution and pipelines. He is currently the Chairman of the Research Advisory Council of the Indian Institute of Petroleum (a CSIR lab). He is also a Trustee in the Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad (of Ekal Foundation).
